This is an Ivory Georgette Fabric in polyester with an extremely light, floaty nature with a soft draping quality, measuring 148 cm (58") wide. We also offer in a range of other colors.
This fabric has a weight of 72 GSM
It is often used as a sheer layer in a wedding dress over satin or dupion, as it softens the outline of the gown and gives it an elegant and floating appearance. It is also used in blouses, ribbons, scarves and lingerie. The threads used in Georgette fabric are highly twisted, which causes them to crinkle slightly as they relax. They give the fabric a crinkly, crepe like texture, which feels slightly rough but gives the fabric a bouncy flowing look.
